a gift for a friend. lovely pale blue fabric coupled with 2 buttons of different size. Inner lining is made of the same fabric. All hand-sewn.

I'm seriously contemplating to get a sewing machine but I have no idea how to go about it. But I'm an impulse buyer, might just pop into a shop and get it. =)

Yes, yes, I have heard you! I have not gone M.I.A! I'm still beading and beading and exploring other crafts (knitting, crochet, fabric..., my fingers are that itchy la). Just that I have not been effective in posting up the pictures (read: lazy). To compensate, I'm offering free normal postage as of now! So now I'm finally back, and of course, with a truckload of pictures!

Mr. Cat made with felt cloth attached with a ribbon. Second pic shows the lining attached inside. Third pic shows how pretty the vintage-y looking fabric looks like. It can fit in your barang barang, the hp, ezlink cards and etc, and what-nots!
Measures 16.5cm (ht) x 14.7cm (width), it goes for $15.

Mini pale pink beads and cherry red beads created into a berry. Attached with silver leaves, it looks so delicious that you want to bite it off! A re-adaptation of my purberry earrings. Rosemary corals bundled to look like a berry. I really really love the colours of the rosemary corals. You can see them appearing in almost all of my latest works. Ha. Attached to a bronze filigee and genuine swaroski teardrops. It mesures 6 (bronze filigee) and 5.2cm respectively.

Chip beads of varying size, they are made of rose quartz. And (drums roll) they are made by my mother! She took up a beading course (simple stringing bracelets and such) and this is the result of her skills. Made of toggle eye clasp, it's easy and convenient to wear and take it off yourself.

Materials used: Amazonite (I heart them!) as the focal bead and different colours of swaroski crystals.

The colours of the swaroski crystals are darkish because of the lighting but rest assured that it is lighter and more colourful in real life.

It has been a looong time since I posted earrings, less of all wired earrings. Natural stones are used and they don't come cheap. Natural stones have little flaws on it so naturally (no puns intended!) you can see them on the stones. Black swaroski crystals are also used. And don't you think that this pair looks like a peacock or some sort a kind of bird?

A closer up of the natural stone. It's not black, kind of greyish-black. Like sesame you know?

The Singapore globe of stamps

I'm done with this project, faster than I have predict! I'm so proud of myself and this globe, it's so pretty! My mum is an avid collector of stamps, she has stamps from Singapore and other foreign countries, but she only allows me to use those from Singapore only coz the others are prob too precious to her... The bottom is supported by gold wire, weaved by me. As I do this project, I'm attracted to all these colourful stamps and the stories that it is trying to tell. I should probably try doing a foreign globe of stamps next. ha!

Can you see the stamp that features the person pinching his nose? It reads 'get well soon'.

Can you see the girl with the dark skin and a red dot on her forehead? If I'm not wrong, a red dot means that she's married, a black dot means she's single. She's an Indian celebrating Deepavali, tt's the best about Singapore, we are multi-racial and thus we celebrate different festivals all year round. And next to it, it's a taxi in Singapore. It's a little vintage as the taxis now are more colourful and modern.

And can you see the 3 army boys camouflaged in their army uniform of green? And can you read 'upgrading of hdb estates' in the other stamp? For those who don't know, HDBs in Singapore is our high rise estates. You can see them all in Singapore as our land is small.

Can you see the five people standing together in white? They represent the different races in Singapore. The man wearing a 'songkok' is Malay and the lady wearing a sari is an Indian.And those people sitting are graduands.

And that's the top of the globe.

The bottom of the globe. That's a pong pong fruit, it's poisonous, it's also commonly seen in Singapore. And if you read upside down, there's also one stamp that reads 'Hong San See Temple 1912' I don't know where is this place and tt's a pity.

Can you the vintage picture of a family? Tt's our ancestors. And next, there's a crab cropped halfway. Tt's one of our best food in Singapore! Black pepper chilli crab? YUM! Next to it, if you can see sideways, it's a Singapore plane and the white buildings are actually our Changi Airport Terminal II.
